Questions before you step out?
Is Samva a dating app?
Not even close. Samva is built around doing things - rooms, events, shared interests, local favors - not swiping on faces. Connection happens as a byproduct of showing up, not the goal.
Who sees my real name?
Nobody, until you decide otherwise. You show up under a pseudonym by default. Revealing who you really are is something you choose to do, when you trust someone - never something the app decides for you.
How do paid favors work?
Right now, it's simple by design: the room can show a fair amount, and you settle up directly with the other person. No middleman, no holds on your money. In-app escrow can come later if it is truly needed.
Which city is first?
Bangalore - that's where we're starting, and starting strong. Demand from the waitlist decides what city we light up next, so the more people in your city sign up, the sooner it happens.
What if someone's harassing me?
Block and report are always close by. Samva is built around rooms and shared context so random DMs are not the default, and if someone crosses a line, you should be able to shut it down fast.
Is my data safe?
We only ask for what helps the product work: your city, interests, and account basics. Your real identity is not used as your public profile, and we design privacy choices so you stay in control.
